Kirkwood Johnston, MD Dr. Kirkwood Johnston graduated from National University of Ireland, University College Cork School of Medicine in 2003. Dr. Johnston joined the academic faculty in Austin as the first full-time Rheumatologist, after completing his fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where his research focused on the role of cartilage in inflammatory arthritis, and was also active in teaching residents and students. He is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He previously completed his internal medicine residency at University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Johnston is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Johnston is very happy to have returned to Texas, and in his spare time enjoys Austin’s vibrant live music scene, as well as various outdoor activities.Make an appointment > |
