Michael T. Breen, MD Assistant Professor – University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs Michael T. Breen, MD, has served the Central Texas community as an OB/GYN for the past 18 years. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed two residencies: one in family medicine and one in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Breen focuses on treating women with infertility, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, pelvic masses, PMS, perimenopause and menopause. He is an expert in laser and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Breen is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Texas Association of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Breen has been lucky enough to grow up in Central Texas and raise his family here. His wife, Anne-Marie Lozano, and their two daughters (ages seven and nine) enjoy sailing, skiing, soccer, as well as hikes with the family dog Daisy. |

Kimberly Carter, MD Assistant Professor – University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs Dr. Carter hails from the piney woods of East Texas. She completed undergraduate studies at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, and obtained a graduate degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. She graduated from Baylor College of Medicine and stayed to complete her residency training. While at Baylor she was inducted in Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. She moved to Austin after residency and was in private practice until joining the University o f Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs. She is very active in the Austin community and sits on several boards including Physicians for Social Responsibility, the Texas Medical Association Insurance Trust and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Zachary Chipman, MD Assistant Professor – University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs Zachary Chipman, MD, knows a lot about Austin after spending his college years at the University of Texas. This Longhorn fan couldn’t wait to get back to Austin and settle down here. Dr. Chipman attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and completed his residency at Houston’s St. Joseph Hospital. Since 1996, he’s enjoyed seeing patients in Austin. When he’s not working, you can find Dr. Chipman with his family or busy with woodworking, drawing or bicycling around town. |

Jennifer Goss, MD Jennifer earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed her residency in Dallas at Parkland Memorial Hospital. As a University of Texas at Austin alumni, Jennifer, her husband and son are excited to return to the South Austin area. Jennifer will see patients at Pediatric Junction in Buda. John G. Harkins, MD Assistant Professor – University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs John Harkins, MD, is committed to the care and wellness of women in Central Texas. He attended medical school at West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Houston at St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Harkins is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. In 1999, he was a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Harkins, his wife, Arden and their three children, Madison, Mallory and Maclean, are happy to call Austin home. When he’s not busy with his family, Dr. Harkins enjoys music, playing golf and going fishing. |

Isaac Lavie, MD Assistant Professor – University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs Issac Lavie, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in obstetrics/gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs. Born in the Midwest, Dr. Lavie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania, earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Lavie has research experience in the areas of gynecologic oncology (Southwestern Medical School) and neural science (New York University). Donna Villacis, MD Assistant Professor – University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Programs Donna Villacis, MD, has only been in Austin since the summer of 2004, but she’s already settled in and is providing quality care for women in Central Texas. Dr. Villacis attended medical school at the University of South Dakota and completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Living in Austin means Dr. Villacis can take in the city’s arts, music and outdoor activities. In her spare time, Dr. Villacis is enjoying being a newlywed, spending quality time with her husband.
